Surf Nicaragua Tour Packages Available at the Popoyo Surf Lodge
The Popoyo Surf Lodge is located in Playa Guasacate, just outside of Las Salinas in the Rivas
province of Nicaragua.
While surfing is the main attraction, there is much more to do in the area! By chance that the
waves are small, our guides will take you out for the day to enjoy some of the other activities
and natural attractions that Nicaragua has to offer: Local hot springs, the markets in Masaya, historic sites in Granada, deep sea fishing,
Lake Nicaragua, Volcan Mombacho, canopy tours and much more!
All Surf Tours Include:
- 6 nights Accomodation in a Casita with A/C
- Casitas (4) include separate bedroom and living room, 3 full-sized, hot water, central A/C and Direct TV. Accomodation is on shared or private basis depending on package purchased.
- 3 meals per day -
In 2007, we were very fortunate to have Chef Dennis Cruz, aka. Pollo, join the team at P.S.L. as our head chef. Pollo is one of Nicaragua’s finest chefs and has worked and managed restaurants in several of Managua’s nicest hotels such as the Holiday Inn or the popular Montelimar Beach Resort. Pollo enjoys serving our clients tasty, healthy food from sunrise to sunset. If you are a vegetarian or have a special need in your diet, Pollo can take care of it hassle free.

Maximum # of Surfers per week is 16 in the camp.

Popoyo Surf Lodge Package Inclusions:
-Airport greeting and roundtrip transfers to Popoyo Surf Lodge. Transfers will be at approximately 10:00am for West coast arrivals and approximately 1:00pm for East coast arrivals, or at 7:00am from Camino Real Hotel near Managua airport for Friday evening arrivals.
-Accommodation in a Triple or Quad Casita w/AC
Casitas: Poolside, modern construction, full AC, full-sized double beds, TV w/Satellite, designer bathroom w/hot water, sitting area w/furniture. Ideal for all surfers, couples or families.
-3 meals per day
-Bottled water and soft drinks.
-Unlimited guided surf tours (Access to breaks is by 4x4 or Boat at surf guides' discretion)
4x4s: Toyota LandCruiser or Mitsubishi pickup
Boats: 26ft Superpangas w/center console, roof, lunch & optional fishing
-Use of all Popoyo Surf Lodge facilities including swimming pool, lounge w/TV,VCR,DVD,CD Stereo,Surf Videos,Movie library, and surfboard storage area.
Not Included (Bring extra $$$ cash-US Dollars OK):

- Surf photography*
*Note: Surf Photographer John Matthews is available to shoot, minimum of 5 shoots/sessions. Cost is $200 for the week per person.
-National Park fees: $5/day per person (at select breaks)

Tour Notes:
1)The package price does not include airfare, however Wavehunters can and will arrange flights using its lowest contracted air rates with Taca and other major carriers from all US cities.
2)The Camino Real Hotel Managua is located up the highway from the airport and a first or last night hotel is advised for customers arriving early (Friday evenings recommended) or departing late (Saturday mornings recommended) in order to maximize one's surf time and surf on Saturdays.
3)Boat trips will operate only during safe sea and weather conditions, there are no refunds for unused boat trips due to weather conditions, as 4x4 tours will be substituted
NOTE regarding EARLY SEASON at POPOYO:
MARCH and APRIL feature bulletproof offshore winds and consistent south swells with larger swells to 8-12 ft faces not uncommon. This is definitely NOT too early in the season to come to Nicaragua and actually is the most reliable for clean offshore conditions so come down.
